Jedburgh Grammar: John muir guardian award Success
SBCAN was delighted to learn that 49 pupils from Jedburgh Grammar Campus have received a John Muir Wild Places Guardian Certificate. Well done to all of the staff and students involved!
Earlier this year, the Jedburgh students visited the Berwickshire Marine Reserve to learn about the Reserve’s ongoing efforts to conserve the biodiversity of the coastal waters between St Abbs and Eyemouth. The Guardian level John Muir Award is awarded on the basis that participants engage in the discovery, exploration, and conservation of a wild place. The award requires participants to share what they have done with others to inspire and inform more young people to engage with, and care for, our wild places.
The students’ trip to Berwickshire Marine Reserve was supported by funding from SBCAN and Go Fibre.
