The Scottish Borders Climate Action Network (SBCAN) is excited to be part of the Take One Action Local Film Club programme for 2025!
We're offering a limited number of free environmental film screening to film clubs and societies across the Borders – that’s right, we’ll cover the license fee so you can bring powerful, thought-provoking stories to your audience with no license fee. Yippee!
Choose from 26 brilliant titles exploring climate, justice, activism, and more. Whether you’re looking to spark discussion or simply showcase incredible cinema, there’s something for everyone.

How you can get involved in this offer:
Pick your film from the catalogue.
Email info@sbcan.org with:
The film title
Your preferred screening date
Venue address and audience capacity
Want to go further? Let us know if you’d like a guest speaker or Q&A session at your screening – we’ll do our best to arrange something inspiring.
We’ll sort the license and send you the film.
You promote your event – and you can also list it on the SBCAN Events Calendar and social media for extra visibility.
Host your screening at your chosen venue, share SBCAN's short audience feedback survey, and send us your attendance numbers afterwards.
It gives us an opportunity to bring bold, beautiful, and challenging films to audiences across the Borders – and spark insightful conversations.
