With wildfires dominating headlines across Europe, join us at The Haining to find out what the risks are in the Scottish Borders and what we can do to help mitigate them. We will be joined by representatives from the local Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for an in-depth discussion about the risks of wildfire on grasslands.

This will be followed by an optional, outdoor, practical session in Deer Park, that will show how nature restoration can help reduce the risks of serious fires. Please wear approppriate footwear as the walk will take place over long grass and paths which could be muddy. There is also a stile which must be climbed to reach Deer Park from the Haining.
