Join Mark Runciman of Eastmains Farm, Lauder, as he shares his journey through conversion to organic. Mark grazes sheep and cattle on diverse herbal leys and has been exploring innovative grazing approaches and other practices to build soil health on their farm.

This will be followed by a presentation from Jamie Sommerville and Mary Silk, who bring expertise in soil science alongside backgrounds in farming and growing. They will explore the role of soil biology and the soil food web, and how these influence soil health and function and plant and animal health. They will also run over some practical methods for assessing soil health.
