Scottish Water and Woodland Trust Scotland are hosting a community tree-planting event at Knowes Dean Reservoir, between Stow and Clovenfords, on Friday 27th February 2026, 10.00-14.00.
We will be planting up to 300 native trees to boost biodiversity, contribute to net zero objectives, and improve the public amenity of the reservoir as a place for enjoying nature.
We are looking for around 20 local volunteers to help. You will be fully briefed on the day by Scottish Water staff, and given a tree-planting demonstration by Woodland Trust Scotland staff. You would need to bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing. Tools will be provided. Parking onsite is very limited and lift-sharing will be encouraged.
More information will be provided to volunteers in advance of the event, but please complete this form if you are keen to attend.
