Bushcraft and nature skills at Eat Sleep Ride

The Eat Sleep Ride Saturday Club, delivered by Instinctively Wild CIC, offers young people a unique opportunity to connect with nature through outdoor learning, bushcraft and creative exploration.

Taking place at Eat Sleep Ride in the Scottish Borders, the programme combines practical outdoor skills with creative practices that encourage participants to slow down, observe and engage with the natural world.

Participants will learn traditional bushcraft skills such as fire lighting and safe tool use, alongside creative activities including storytelling, sketching and painting through nature journaling. The session creates space for imagination, confidence building and shared learning in a supportive outdoor environment.

By spending time in nature and learning practical skills, the Saturday Club helps young people develop resilience, curiosity and wellbeing while building a deeper appreciation for the environment.
